Available for manned and unmanned (remote-controlled) dredges; can be retrofitted for existing dredges.
When a dredge is run on a cabling or rail
traverse system, a good deal of time is spent repositioning the dredge between
dredging passes. Some dredge makers do claim full pumping rate while reversing,
but few can deliver on the promise of a 100% efficient dredge operation in
reverse. At a speed of 7
feet per minute, in a pond 400' long, time spent repositioning between each
forward pass can stretch to 57 minutes.
Customers asked for a less time-consuming repositioning method, a more
efficient way to prepare the dredge for its next forward pass.
SRS Crisafulli has answered that request by introducing its
unique new dredge operating system, the Pivoting Traverse System.
The SRS Pivoting Traverse system incorporates a variable speed traverse winch, ball bearing pivot
mechanism, worm gear drive, and hydraulic motor.
Speed at which the system pivots is adjustable, carefully controlled for
safety and stability. Users can
expect a 40 to 50% increase in productive dredge operating time.
The SRS Pivoting Traverse System is available on both manned and unmanned
(remote-controlled) dredges, and on the range of SRS dredges, both electric and
diesel-hydraulic systems.
Automated Control Systems
SRS Crisafulli’s FLUMP is
the small dredge that’s remotely controlled for lower labor costs and maximum
solids production - the fully automated FLUMP provides computerized control of
the pump, dredge travel, working depth, and assures a consistent solids density
output. You can control the FLUMP
from a panel on-shore, or hand-held radio remote, which allows you to freely
move about your plant site while still controlling your dredge.

savings & improved efficiency when you have computerized control of your
entire dredging operation.
This dredge thinks for itself - simply determine the solids density &
flow rate you desire, enter it into the PLC (programmable logic controller) via a
convenient keypad, and the dredge will constantly monitor and adjust its own
operation to deliver exactly the output you need. If your dredge is feeding a
dewatering process, the Fully Automated FLUMP will streamline your entire
operation by giving the press or centrifuge precisely the input it needs, while
reducing labor hours and polymer use.

U - Series Cutterheads (for FLUMP™ and Rotomite™)
Two sizes ranging: 54" and 102"; optional High Torque (5,400 or 9,000 inch-pounds, cutting tines, cutterhead cage, dual guide wheels, weed handling cutterhead for original equipment or retrofit. In addition, Crisafulli offers its Cobra Cutterhead for aggressively dredging compacted materials.

Sludge Dredges
In three models with dredge depths from 10 feet to 20 feet, total lengths from 26' 6" to 40' 6". Other options include 8' wide adjustable cutterhead mud shield package including hydraulic rams, controls, hinges & mud shields; air conditioner/heater package; ultrasonic non-invasive electronic flow meter package, including in-cab indicators, pipeline transducers and wiring; safety package; tool package; lifting package, delivery, installation supervision, startup, testing and operator training, Crisafulli Integral Floating Discharge Line, and Traversing Cabling Systems.
Sludge Dredge Cutterhead
8 foot wide slurry duty auger/tiller cutterhead with 16 detachable hardened steel cutting blades, dual opposing auger sections, 10,000 inch-pounds of digging torque. Optional stainless steel for wetted parts; ceramic fusion coating on auger.
